Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 9, 2026

HiClaw is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use HiClaw, including data processed by your OpenClaw assistants on Telegram or Discord.

This policy applies to our website, dashboard, and API (collectively, the "Services"). If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the Services.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image.

Assistant Message Data

Your assistant receives messages through Telegram or Discord. Message content and related metadata (such as user IDs and channel identifiers) are processed to generate and deliver responses. Depending on your configuration and how OpenClaw is used, this data may be stored within your deployment to maintain conversation context.

AI Provider Requests

To generate responses, prompts and relevant context are sent from your deployment to the AI provider you select (for example, Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). Your use of those services is governed by the provider's privacy policy and terms.

Deployment Metadata

We store information about your deployments, such as selected model, channel, subdomain, status, and timestamps needed to manage your OpenClaw instance.

Secrets and Credentials

API keys and bot tokens (in BYOK mode) are required to provision your assistant. In managed mode, HiClaw provides the API key. We encrypt these secrets using envelope encryption and do not store them in plaintext.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication (for example, to maintain your session) and to protect the Services against abuse.

Billing Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive billing metadata and subscription status, but we do not store your full payment card details.

Usage and Diagnostics

We collect service logs and operational metrics (such as error rates and deployment health) to keep the platform reliable and secure.

How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the HiClaw platform
  • Provision and secure OpenClaw instances on your behalf
  • Process billing, subscriptions, and account management
  • Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, and security incidents

How We Share Information

We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers that help us operate the Services (for example, AWS and Stripe)
  • Messaging platforms (Telegram and Discord) to deliver assistant functionality
  • AI providers you select, to generate responses
  • When required to comply with law or to protect the security of the Services

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

HiClaw integrates with third-party providers to deliver the Services. Their privacy policies apply when you use these integrations:

Data Security

  • Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Per-deployment isolation on dedicated containers
  • Least-privilege access controls for internal systems
  • Secret storage using KMS envelope encryption

Data Retention

We retain account, deployment, and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. Operational logs may be retained for a limited period for security, debugging, and reliability. Conversation history may be stored within your deployment to maintain context; deleting a deployment removes its stored state.

Your Rights

  • Access and update your account information
  • Request deletion of your account and deployments
  • Disconnect integrations or rotate credentials

Your rights may vary depending on where you live. If you need help exercising your rights, contact us using the email below.

International Transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. These locations may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Children's Privacy

HiClaw is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above, and may provide additional notice for material changes.
